MEET CHEF TEYA
Liteya Anderson, better known as Chef Teya , is a Stratford University Alumna, business owner, but most importantly a mother of 3, that specializes in American cuisine. She comes from a long line of cooks and at a very young age, discovered her love for cooking. Day in and day out, she watched her late great grandmother "throwdown" in the kitchen, cooking food that soothed the soul, from a soul that soothed so many. Chef Teya was also inspired by her self-proclaimed "Grill Master" father. He would marinate everything tghat could be deep fried, grilled, or placed in the rotisserie. Her mother made extrodinary pastas and seafood dishes, while her older brother would challenge and test her every step of the way. Her grandmother taught her how to cook her very first steak, and she never looked back. After years of being "The Family Chef". Chef Teya decided to pursue a career in cooking and enrolled in the Culinary Arts Program at Stratford University, in Baltimore City. While enrolled, she received 3 scholarships; Grammenos A. Adamtiades Memorial Scholarship, Aaron Duane Parker Scholarship, and The BIC Educational Foundation Scholarship. Chef Teya was also President and Co-Founder of the "Never Give Up Club", a student-oriented group which was dedicated to studying, motivating, and challenging each other. She received her Associates Degree, Magna Cum Laude, in 2017. Shortly after graduation, she started a catering business, Chef Teya's. She has catered numerous weddings, private events, as well as business functions. Now she is eager to take on her newest and greatest challenge, being the Head Chef of "Friends Grille". Chef Teya plans to make "Friends Grille", the premier bistro in Baltimore City! When you taste her Lamb Chops, and they are coming, you'll see why.
